Sponsored by the Omaha Salvation Army, this program delivers hot, nutritious meals, free of charge, to children 18 years of age and younger. Meals are served on the library lawn. All food must be consumed at the library. Meals can be brought in during inclement weather.

Inside, you'll find all the essentials to create your own charming duck silhouette suncatcher. At the heart of the kit lies a finely cut wooden duck shape, providing the perfect canvas for your imagination to soar. Paired with a smooth, circular piece of acrylic, this duo sets the stage for a mesmerizing masterpiece.

Unleash your inner artist as you apply vibrant hues to the acrylic surface. Whether you opt for bold, vivid colors or soothing pastel shades, the result is sure to evoke the tranquil beauty of a sunlit pond.

Little Bluestem nominees are read together at the start of book club. Meadowlark nominees should be read ahead of time so we can discuss them during book club.We will start our meeting by reading the Golden Sower Little Bluestem nominee, Abdul’s Story by Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow, illustrated by Tiffany Rose, followed by a discussion of the Meadowlark nominee for the month, Ain’t Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds, illustrated by Jason Griffin [read ahead of time]. We’re celebrating June with pasta! Adult help is required for this activity. Please register once per family. There are 50 kits available. Kits include most of the supplies. Babysitting Certification Course (#01) Friday, June 7 • 10:00 AM-3:00 PM Become a safe and reliable sitter! The Nebraska Extension Services will provide babysitting certification to 15 students (age 11-18) per course. Learn the basics of child development, safety, nutrition, and more through their Building Better Babysitters program!

STAMPING CLUB | TUESDAYS, JUNE 11 & JULY 9, 3-5 PM

Kids can create their own works of art using paper, stamps, ink, markers, crayons, and colored pencils. This passive activity is held in the children’s area.
