Little Bluestem nominees are read together at the start of book club. Honeybee nominees should be read ahead of time so we can discuss them during book club.We will start our meeting by reading the Golden Sower Little Bluestem nominee, Abdul’s Story by Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow, illustrated by Tiffany Rose, followed by a discussion of the Honeybee nominee for the month, Bunnicula: The Graphic Novel by James Howe and Andrew Donkin, illustrated by Stephen Gilpin [read ahead of time]. Snacks provided. Reading level: grades 3+
