Take a closer look: What do you see? Leonardo da Vinci called the eye the "window of the soul," the "prince" of our senses. He believed that the transmission of information from the eye to the brain and nervous system, along with the reactions that followed — joy, fear, concern, surprise — was the essence of the human experience. Da Vinci began few paintings, and finished even fewer, but more than 500 years after his death, those he left behind are among the most revered works of art of all-time. Explore his life and legacy at the Bellevue Public Library with this screening of Leonardo da Vinci, a Film by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns and David McMahon.
