Apply for a Library Card

How do I apply for a library card?

You must have a valid library card to check out materials. Acceptance of this card is your agreement to comply with the rules and regulations of the library. A parent or guardian must sign for children under 14 years.

Proof of current address is required for all applicants when they register. Addresses are verified annually for nonresident cardholders and biannually for resident cardholders.

Library staff does check addresses on Sarpy County's property look-up program to verify that you live in the incorporated city limits of Bellevue.

Please notify the library of any address change. If the Post Office returns a notice as undeliverable, all users at that address are blocked from checkout until a correct address is verified. To avoid this, please notify us when you move.

Cards can be used until worn out, so do not discard them when they expire. A $1 replacement card fee will be charged at renewal for any that are discarded. There is a $1 fee to replace a lost card (applicable to residents and nonresidents).
